'Red Tails' - all african american action movie

I saw Lucas interviews on the Daily Show, and was struck when he said that no major studio would back this film, being the first all black action movie. It's one of those moments you are struck by how beneath the surface, and behind the projected marketing images of today, society is still transforming slowly. And perhaps the US is in a place to embrace such a film as it would a 'Memphis Belle', but the business rationale seemed to be that it would not sell internationally. I'll be watching how it does.
